Dresden Area Ex-Farmer Dies at 82

Charles W. Williams, 82, former resident of Dresden Route 2, died at 1:55 p.m. Monday in Bethesda Hospital where he had been a patient since May 2.

 A retired farmer and carpenter, he was a patient in the Twilight Nursing Home in Dresden from November until he entered the hospital. He was born July 23, 1876, near Dresden, a son of James Finley and Phoebe Blunt Williams, and was the last survivor of their family of six sons and three daughters. His wife, Mayme, died in 1922.

 Mr. Williams is survived by a son, J. Henry Williams of 1677 Linden avenue; a daughter, Mrs. Robert Lichty of Columbus, and three grandchildren.

The body was removed to the Baughman and Sons Funeral Home in Dresden where friends may call after noon Tuesday. Services will be held there at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. A. Dale Sowers officiating. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.
